News: Change is good!
Greetings from Headquarters!
Did you notice our new face? Yeah, we got a little work done and we’re really happy with it! Along with our new look, there are some cool functional changes as well. We’ve got some updates and additions we are super excited about! Thanks to your awesome feedback over the last few months we are on the way to creating the site that we know you guys want to see! We are excited to share what’s new:
Additions:
these are things we didn’t have before, and now we do!
1. Pre-Population & Pending:
This is a biggie, so listen up. Plus, we think you’ll really, really like it!
We know, it sounds fancy, but all it means is that when you register your deck, your cards will automatically appear in a drop down menu on your My Decks page and remain in a pending queue until you select them. For those of you who currently have a registered deck (or decks), check this out: all your unplayed cards will magically appear in that drop down menu, no need to do anything. Poof! Just like that. Don’t believe us? Go check it out! It’s pretty cool.
It also means that when you go to tell your Boom Boom! story on the form, the unique ID number will pre-populate, you won’t need to fill it in!
Think about how this impacts your ability to Boom Boom! Now you don’t have to write down or remember your Boom Boom! Card’s unique ID, the site does it for you! Now you can Boom Boom! left & right, up & down…give your card away on a whim and know that when you get back to the computer, the unique ID number will be there, safely waiting for you select it. Sweet!
2. Multiple Deck Registration:
Just like it sounds…you can now have more than one deck registered at a time to the same account! Yippeee! When you enter the deck registration code, the deck will show up on your My Decks page. Then, when you get another deck and you register it, voila! It will appear there too.
This is cool because now you can manage multiple decks under one account. For those of you who have already previously registered more than one deck under one account, if you go to your My Decks page, you will see them all there. Nice, huh?
If you previously registered several decks under separate accounts, that will not change. Really want to combine them into one account? No prob. Email us and we’d be happy do it for you. info@boomboomcards.com
3. Nice!
Now not only can you just think that a particular post is nice, you can declare it for all the world to see by just clicking on the little “Nice!” icon below the story. Don’t feel like making a comment, but love the story? Nice it!
4. Feel Good Friday and Wondering Wednesday:
These two popular weekly features are now a part of the home page! They link to our Facebook fan page making it easier to get to the questions from the home page. Yet another reason to become a Boom Boom! Cards Facebook fan! Not a fan yet? Go here to make it happen.
Changes/Upgrades:
these are things we’ve either tweaked or made better
1. Avatar/Profile Pic:
You will notice, that when you comment or post a Boom Boom! your smiling face shows up! A simple change, but we are so excited about it! So, now’s the time to post your profile pic! Need some encouragement? Click here.
2. Comments:
You can now edit your own comments as well as reply to others in a thread of comments. This will make direct communication so much better!
So, there you have it. That’s what’s been going on at HQ while you folks have been out there on the Frontline, changing the world. But this isn’t all of it. No, this is just the beginning! We’ve got big plans in the semi-near future designed to offer you, our awesome Agents of Altruism, a more robust social experience, including interactive profile pages, the ability to friend/follow people, live feeds, and the ability to create Boom Boom! Challenge teams. It’s good stuff and we can’t wait to get it going!
What’s next on the agenda? Launching the ability for you and Boom Boom! to give back. Watch for our upcoming email and blog post about our exciting new partnership with the non-profit, iSpot Compassion. Until then…
