The Earth is a Very Small Stage

Watch This. Yes, we know this video is 4:00 minutes long, but trust us, it’s worth it. Perspective is a wonderful gift and Carl Sagan gives it to us with these words. The video, posted by Adam Winnik on YouTube is also a gift and underscores Sagan’s brilliant insight.

From astrophysics to the human heart, Sagan could dissect anything, explain it and make you think about it in a way that may never have occurred to you before…like this:

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life; there is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species can migrate. Visit? Yes. Settle? Not yet. Like it or not, for the moment, the earth is where we make our stand. It is up to us.

“No hint that help will come from elsewhere…” That’s a staggering thought. It’s truly up to us. Each one of us. Not a specific group, or a particular type of person, or any of our world leaders…or even Oprah. No, it’s not up to anyone but us. ALL of us.

Capital U us.

The success of our civilization depends on one very simple thing: the relationships we build.

Period.

Every daily interaction matters.

Let’s commit to breeding good in every moment.

Boom Boom!
