About Us
We are a group of people who are impassioned to change the world. We had an idea, we thought we’d try it. It’s that basic.

Co-founders Hélène Scott & Mary Beth Campbell (aka MB)
It started way back in December of 2006.
After working with the Boomerang Project and their internationally recognized character/kindness programs Link Crew and WEB for 15 years and witnessing the impact they had at schools, we wondered what would happen if the underlying philosophies of Link Crew and WEB were applied to the general population? After all, we reasoned, if we can ask high school and middle school students to be kinder and care more about each other and they do, wouldn’t other people to do it too? And, with that, Boom Boom! Revolution was born!
It was a simple idea, really (or so we thought). After all, we reasoned, how hard could it be to make cool looking and compelling “call to action” cards that you can track on a website? Turns out, pretty hard. So after a couple years of plotting, planning and palpitations (the heart kind) we were thrilled to go live with our website in December 2008 and followed that with an official public beta launch in February 2009.
Since, then, we haven’t looked back.
In case you are unfamiliar with them, Boom Boom! Cards are an intentional act of kindness kit where all you have to do is be kind, track it on line. If you have ever thought, “Gee, I sure would like to help change the world” this kit is for you!

There are 26 cards in a kit, each one is an invitation to join the Boom Boom! Revolution, a small but growing army of people who are sure that we can re-vision the world we know and create the world we want through simple actions that allow us to reach out and exercise the innate altruism that lives in all of us.
It’s an experiment, really. It’s never been done before.
Aren’t you curious to see what happens? We sure are. Why not get your own pack of cards, join us in this kindness movement and play along? The worst that could happen is we add a little bit more Boom Boom! to the world.
Plus, each time you register your deck, you have the opportunity to select a charitable organization for which you can play your deck and we will donate 10% of profits to that organization. With Boom Boom! Cards you can be nice twice!
This won’t be all you’ll hear from us, there’s much more to come, including more products that promise to promote kindness and help people uncover the innate altruism that resides in each of us.
We’ve got big, big plans, so stay tuned.

Over 500 members – and pushing 300 boom booms – ya’ll rock!
My wife Nita and I thought that Mary Beth was a very good teacher when my daughter Laura Albrecht was in her class at Harbor about ten years ago. More importantly, Laura thought she was great! What a great idea. I bought 4 decks today. One for us and the others as gifts to people who have too much stuff already.
Keep up the good work,
Bob Albrecht
Hi Bob! Thanks so much for supporting us. I’ll never forget Laura…kids like her are the reason people teach! As a teacher you hope to get one like that in a career. I feel lucky to have had her. That whole class had great fun together and she was much of the reason! Please tell her I said hello. And thanks for joining the Revolution! Boom Boom!
I just discovered Boom Boom in a shop in San Francisco this past week. I bought a regular deck for a co-worker and a teen deck for a friend’s kid… I just ordered 4 more decks online as holiday season gifts and one for myself! I think this is a great idea! I hope it takes off and that in the future you can produce other decks with more possible actions… Very cool! Boom boom!
Thanks, Misstranslation, for the kind words. We are thrilled you’ve joined the Revolution and LOVE your enthusiasm! Stay tuned, because we have big plans for 2010! Booster packs with more and different actions, cool website changes/upgrades and other fun, “good” products. We hope the idea takes off too, ’cause the world could use some serious Boom Boom! right about now. Thanks for doing your part to spread the love AND the Boom Boom!
I am wondering how the sustainability deck is coming. I wondered about having a group of high school students design their own pack for Earth Day this year.
I was at the CADA Convention in Reno last week and bought two decks for my leadership kids. I gave each one a card and challenged them to do the task and pass the card on. Hopefully, it will spread around campus and beyond. Thanks for this great idea.
Thanks go to YOU, Mark, for believing in the vision and taking it back to your school! We love to see the Boom Boom! love spreading! You rule.

Hello~
I am a 5th grade teacher and think this would be a wonderful thing to do with my 25 students. We often talk about Random Acts of Kindness. I am curious to know how your cards would be best utilized in my class and how we keep track of them. Does each child have their own account, do I do it as a class account. Any information would be appreciated.
Also, I would like to talk to my principal, as I think this would be a wonderful thing to use for our faculty. Any suggestions for the cards for this as well.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
Sandy Schneekloth
